Objectives
To support the groups and organisations that provide resources for the well-being of the community within the Parish of Coniston.
Trustees
The Trustees are Coniston Parish Councillors who give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefit.
Main Activities Undertaken for the Public Benefit
The Trustees of Coniston Amenities Fund look to support projects in the village that will benefit the Parishioners.
Recent projects include supporting our local Mountain Rescue Team, providing resilience supplies for the community during and after Storm Arwen, and helping other organisations such as the Women’s Institute, Mountain rescue, Local schools, Girl Guides, Local Sports clubs, Coniston Institute, First responders, X112, Sports and Social Club.
Future Projects
If you have any ideas on future projects the Trustees should consider, please contact the Clerk to Coniston Parish Council or a Parish Councillor.
We are currently looking to fund for the refurbishment of unsafe and outdated facilities within our much-loved community playground, if you would like to assist us in our efforts please get in touch.

Application form
The Montane Lakeland 100 has again been able to make a substantial donation to support the work of the Coniston Amenities Fund. As a result, the Fund is in a position to distribute funds in accordance with the attached policy. As your organisation has been a previous recipient of a grant, or you have expressed an interest in making an application, the Trustees thought that you might want the opportunity to apply for funding this year and so I have attached this year’s application form for you.

The closing date for applications to be received is on Wednesday, 21st October 2026.
Please ensure that your application is completed electronically and emailed to parish@conistonparishcouncil.gov.uk please do not submit a paper copy.
This application must be accompanied by the most up-to-date accounts for your organisation.
